Overlapping- Larger objects in the foreground overlap with objects in the background Location- Thoughtful placing of objects to suggest space
Scale/Proportion- Objects closer to you are larger, objects get smaller as they recede in to space
Surface Detail/Haze- Things get hazy and loose surface detail the further away from you they are
Linear Perspective- Using horizontal lines to suggest space, think train tracks,
Atmospheric Perspective- When using color, tones becomes cooler as they recede in space. Think about how mountains always look blue in photos when they are actually gray rock and white snow. (cool colors are greenish blues, blues, purples)
Why is this important? Why for tapestry of course!
